What good is a fence …
When you have a mischievous child?
Ever since we knew we were coming to Florida, we knew we were going to see alligators. All people talk about is the alligators. Well, we have been here for about two months and have not seen any alligators. So, we went on a hunt. We asked around and found the best place to go see alligators … Sawgrass Lake Park.
we saw some awesome spider webs with huge spiders …
lots of fish and birds …
this squirrel was eating some nuts, hanging almost upside down in the tree. He looks scary in this picture with red eyes!
We stopped for a rest …
Then we saw it … the alligator, about 7 feet long!
We were a little disappointed that we only got to see one alligator, but it was still cool to see her.
We were invited to a wedding on the beach. Normally in October, the weather is beautiful. Unfortunately for this bride and groom, it was a HOT 92 degrees. The wedding ceremony was on the beach. Everyone was so hot and sweaty, but the wedding was beautiful. We did not get pictures on the beach, due to the heat and us having our hands full with the girls being so distracted by the sand and the water.
After the ceremony, we went to the hotel for the reception. The girls were very good and sat at the table for appetizers and dinner. We let the girls eat some cookies during the toast to try and keep them quiet, which ended up backfiring on us. Riley was so wound up, both of us were amazed. We have never seen her act the way she was acting. She ran about 50 laps around the table, non stop. Once they started playing music, she was wild … but even better, she was happy.
We had a great time and the girls were a hit. Congrats to Jessica and Justin on their marriage.

Very Tired Girls
This past weekend, we took the girls out for a fun day. We went up to Tampa to visit the Florida Aquarium. It was a lot of fun. The aquarium is right next to the Tampa port, where there was a huge Carnival cruise ship docked and loading passengers. Everything at the aquarium is native to Florida, so it was fun for the girls to see what we are living around. Reagan was scared of a lot of the things, the alligators, snakes, the clear floor you walk on over the shark tank … Riley was intrigued by it all. She was always inches away from the tanks and excited to see what was there. We had a fun afternoon and will be going back to the aquarium again, as we did not know to bring our swimsuits for fun in the splash pad and playground outside!
