When you are stuck in the house with sick kids, there is nothing better to do that bake cookies. The girls love to make cookies, mainly to eat the cookie dough. They turned out yummy and we had a good time doing this together.

Happy 6th Birthday, Reagan!
To celebrate Reagan’s birthday, first we had a little cupcake party at school with all her Kindergarten friends.
Next, it was off to Disney World for a three day birthday extravaganza. We checked into our hotel and headed to Magic Kingdom for a few rides before bedtime. We rode the Haunted Mansion, which they both loved, the Runaway Railroad roller coaster (twice), and saw the Country Bear Show. We finished up our night with the fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle. Then it was off for a night of not so restful sleep at the hotel.
Saturday, we woke up to a sick Riley. Either the air in the hotel room or the change in temperature did not settle well with her. We bought her some medicine at the local pharmacy (which cost an arm and a leg, since it was at Disney World) and headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We rode a safari ride, saw lots of great animals, ate lunch at the Rainforest Cafe (Reagan’s favorite place), and saw the Lion King show. The neatest thing we saw was the Tree Lady, who was camouflaged in the trees, but would move every so often. She was so neat!
After Animal Kingdom, we still had a few more hours of daylight, so we decided to head over to Epcot. We rode a few rides, including going up in the Epcot ball (which Reagan thought was really cool … it talked about technology and how it has changed over time). We saw the Honey I Shrunk the Audience Show, and then started to walk around the rest of the park.
Then Riley’s breathing got really labored and she started to worry us. We decided we needed to leave, as in check out of the hotel and go home. She needed to have a breathing treatment desperately and so we headed back to our house. Reagan was terribly disappointed, as she wanted to sleep in the hotel again and spend one more day at the park. We got home at 9:00pm, gave Riley a treatment and put them to bed.
Sunday morning, Riley got another breathing treatment and was acting like gold. So, we decided we would finish out our Disney trip and head back to the Magic Kingdom for our last day. We got there at 11:00am, rode lots of rides, and had a great day. Riley got to ride her first ever roller coaster, and she had a blast. Neither of them were impressed with the Snow White ride, as it scared the heck out of them. We finished up with the Buzz Lightyear ride and then headed home.
Now that our Disney World extravaganza is over, we are suffering the consequences. Scott got whatever Riley had and spent two days home, miserable. Riley has continued to get worse with her breathing, has seen the doctor, and is now on a different medicine to try and get her lungs back to normal. Reagan has been very thankful for our fun few days and has tried to help out with Riley being sick. She is such a great sister, and has proven to be such a big, grown up, six year old! She reads to Riley during her treatments to help keep Riley entertained.

Oh, what a fun night we had at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus for a "Barnum's Funundrum" night. We got great seats, thanks to a friend of ours who has a family member who works for the circus, and watched the show with some excited kids.
The Pre-Show
Before the show started, we got to go down onto the circus floor and walk around and see clowns and props up close and personal. The girls were a little intimidated of the clowns & hesitant to take pictures, but we got a few good ones.
The Circus
The show started and the girls lit up. Reagan talked non-stop, over excited about everything she saw. Her favorite was the Body Benders, she thought it was cool that the girls could stand on their own heads. Riley’s favorite, by far, was the Elephants, especially the new baby Elephant. The show ended at 10:00pm, and our poor friend Taylor did not make it to the end. I was surprised that Riley made it through the entire show, she just had too much fun to miss any of it. All day today, Riley keeps asking, “Can we go to the zoo again?” I think she is a little confused!
Thank you Jarrett Family, we had a great time.
