Happy Easter!

Even though all of the Posti Girls woke up feeling sick on Sunday morning, that did not stop the Easter fun. Reagan went into the Family Room and screamed, "The Easter Bunny Came!" She was so excited, that it woke up Riley. So our morning began. They ran around and found all the eggs and they thought it was funny the Easter Bunny put the eggs on their doll house! They only asked for candy once, and got to eat the ears off their chocolate bunnies.

After the morning fun was over, we laid around the house and tried to rest, not only from our trip but also from the bug that has been passed around the family. By 2:00 in the afternoon, Riley's temperature had risen to 105.5, and the pediatrician recommended taking her to the ER. So, off to the ER on Easter we went. They ran all the tests the could think of to find what was causing her to have a high fever for 3 days (it progressively got higher and higher since Friday). They found nothing wrong with her and said it was just a virus. So we were sent on our way, but not without lots of goodies for Riley. She got another Easter basket filled with toys, two stuffed Easter Bunnies, and a book. She was one happy little girl and asked to go back to the hospital the following morning. She wanted more "stuff"!

SPRING BREAK 2010

For Spring Break, we took a road trip to North Carolina, to visit Aunt Dana and family. The girls were very excited for the trip, and did a great job for the 10 1/2 hours that it took us to get there.

First thing was to explore Aunt Dana's new house, which was fabulous. The girls had a lot of fun playing outside and walking down to the dock. Riley was a little nervous about walking on the dock at first, but she eventually got to the point where she would just run right to it.

We also took a trip to the North Carolina Aquarium where the girls had a great time, especially at the touch tank. Both Reagan and Riley held a starfish ... I first for both of them!

After the Aquarium, we stopped for lunch at a new favorite place of the Brigmans ... Flaming Amy's Bowls. Scott and I loved going to the original Flaming Amy's Burrito Barn, so trying this place was exciting for us. It was so yummy, we actually went there twice while we were in NC. The girls think it is great because they get to pick out their own vegetables and meats, pick their own kind of sauce, and choose noodles or rice to eat with it. Everyone ate very well, some even got seconds!

We did spend a lot of our time just hanging out at the house and letting the kids play together. We don't get to see them often enough, so it is nice to just let the kiddos play. The girls listened to music in the car, played in the water hose, rode bikes, and even made their own "Orange Stand" where they sold the oranges that we brought them from Florida. They were so cute, screaming throughout the neighborhood, "Fresh Florida Oranges!"

One day, we spent the morning decorating Easter Eggs. The girls had a lot of fun, even though Reagan did not feel well. She unfortunately got sick while we were there, but she did not let that get her down. She still had a great time and hardly slowed down.

Then it was off to the BEACH! The girls dug for sand crabs and played in the sand. They were even brave enough to get in the water, which was a cold 60 degrees.

(This picture is funny, Reagan decided it was a little bit too cold, so she was running from the water)

We had a great time visiting with Aunt Dana and the girls. We were sad that Uncle Tony was not there, but he had a good excuse ... being a chaperone on a cruise for the Senior Trip. We left Friday morning, and had an adventure on our trip home. It took us over 13 hours to get home, which included two sick and extremely tired girls, the worlds slowest fast food restaurant, one major vomit accident in the car, highway construction, and of course, traffic. We made it home safely though, and have been trying to recuperate since then. Now, it is Aunt Dana's turn to come visit us!

Last night, we celebrated Riley's birthday. Her big present was a new swing set, which has proven to be a good investment. Way to go Mom for the savvy shopping on this swing set, which I got at a 50% discount! The girls have spent every afternoon since this weekend playing outside and enjoying our backyard. Of course, we had to buy something for ourselves to enjoy the backyard too, so we got some new chairs and a fire pit. Now, we can relax and watch the kids run around. It is great.

We invited some of our close friends, The Jarretts, over for Riley's birthday celebration, who were also celebrating two birthdays in their family, Ms. Joy and Mr. Matt! We had a fun evening that included the kids playing outside, the parents relaxing, cooking out, and of course, ice cream cake and cupcakes.

Happy Birthday Riley, Ms. Joy, and Mr. Matt. We had a great evening filled with lots of fun!

Reagan and I went on a Girls Day with a friend of hers, to the Florida Aquarium, where they were having a special preview showing of the new Barbie in A Mermaid Tale movie. Reagan loves Barbie movies and this one was super special because Barbie is a surfer! We had a great time watching the movie and exploring the Aquarium with our friends. We ate lunch and got a special treat of Dippin' Dots. Reagan had a great time and it was fun to be able to spend some one on one time with her. She is growing up so fast and I just love that girl to death!
