Riley's New Do

Grandma watch Riley the other day and mentioned she needed to get a haircut. I usually put her hair up in ponytails, so I was very against cutting her hair. However, becasue I put her hair up everyday, she is getting a lot of hair pulled out and broken ... so, mommy decided to try and cut Riley's bangs (by herself ... not a great idea Mom). She ended up with crooked, blunt bangs.

Thank goodness we have Ms. Jackie, one of our dearest friends, who helped Mommy out with her work ... she fixed the cut job Mom did and made Riley look so cute. Now, I can just brush her hair and let it be. Very nice, convienent, and EASY! That is what I need with two girls!

Almost Turkey Time!

To prepare the girls for Thanksgiving, the neighborhood mom's decided to do Turkey rotations (like we did for Halloween). First, the girls came over to my house and we made real cute Turkeys out of their hand prints. They decorated their turkeys with glitter and feathers (way cool for them!). Their other crafts were fun for them too ... Reagan especially enjoyed Ms. Jackie's rotation, chocolate chip cookies & punch before going to the park for play time. According to Reagan, those were the MOST DELICIOUS cookies she has ever tasted! Must have been good.

Here are all the girls ... once again, it isn't hard to pick out Reagan, our little peanut! She is almost a whole head shorter than her friends ... hopefully she will grow soon!

FUMCG Preschool Fall Festival 2008

Last night was Reagan's fall festival, where they get to play fun games and sing songs with all the other preschool classes. They all looked so cute, dressed up as scarecrows. Reagan's class was unfortunately in the back row during the performance, so we could not get a decent video of her singing. There were to some tall 3 year olds in front of her, so we could not see our little peanut! Oh well, she still looked so cute and we got some good still shots of her.

What Silly Girls!

Reagan & Riley have found a new "play place". I foresee a scratched back, head, or stuck kid in the near future!

I also discovered that I could have a helper in the laundry department, just if she could do the laundry in the correct order. Riley is good about putting clothes in the laundry room, but I always find the dirty clothes in the dryer!

Mommy's New Toy!

Saturday was an interesting day for us. We woke up, after very little sleep the night before (thank you Trick-or-Treating). Mommy started her usual cleaning and we hung around until 9:00. Daddy then left to go and get his car serviced at the Acura dealership. Mom continued to clean until Dad called at 10:30 and said they were going to be a couple hours on his car ... lets meet for lunch.

So, the girls got ready, jumped in the car, and picked up Dad for a lunch date. We ate lunch at a very yummy place, The Rock Bottom Brewery. By the time lunch was over, we headed back to the dealership to pick up dad's car, so we thought. Now, it is 1:00pm and Riley has had just about a 20 minute nap all day so far.

For some reason, we decided to weather the heat (yes heat, it was 94 degrees on Nov.1) and look at cars. After looking at a couple different cars, including a Saturn Relay (minivan), a Hummer H2 (way too big), and an Acura MDX (mommy's favorite car), we got to talking to a salesman. The girls had a great time running around the dealership, playing in their kids play area, and eating cookies all afternoon.

4:30pm rolled around and we were signing a contract on a used ("new" for us) Acura MDX.

We traded in our good ole' Hyundai Santa Fe and got Mommy a 2005, pearl white, Acura MDX! Mommy is so excited about her "new" car. Ever since she saw these cars, she has said she wanted one ... now she has one! We got home around 5:30pm, fed the girls a little bit of dinner, and then headed back out to Target.

We did not make it home in time for Riley, poor thing fell asleep and didn't even wake up during her diaper change. We got Riley in bed around 7:30pm and then Reagan was not far behind.
What a busy and very UNEXPECTED day!

Cute & Crazy Hair

Here are some "new" hairdo's for the girls.
Reagan wore her hair curly like this the night of halloween, and she loved it so much, she wants it like this all the time. However, it takes about an hour to do, so it won't be happening as much as she would like.

Rileys hair is so short on the top and front, that this hairdo works great and looks so cute on her. To make it even better, she sat in my lap, still as could be, while I did her hair. She always finishes with an "ahhhh cute"!

Happy Halloween!
