Oh, how they grow ...

The other morning, while I was busy with Riley, Reagan decided she was hungry. Instead of bugging me to get her breakfast, this is what she did ...

She got a chair, made her own toast (even put it in the toaster and added butter) and peeled her own banana ... ALL WITHOUT ASKING FOR HELP! I was so proud of her!
Maybe she can carry on this tradition from here on out ... even though I think she will get sick of toast and bananas for breakfast quickly!

What a fun afternoon!

We decided to get out this afternoon for some family fun. We took the girls to the new Children's Museum of Phoenix. We had a great time. They are still adding new exhibits, but it was a lot of fun for the girls. Afterwards, we took the girls to dinner at our favorite restaurant, Oregano's Pizza Bistro. We all ate great food and had a yummy pizza cookie for dessert. The girls were so good today ... it made for a great family fun afternoon!

On this apparatus, you push and pull levers with your hands and feet and they play music (more like make noise).

Reagan thought it was cool pushing the pedals to make drum noises.

A calm and relaxing place to sit and read a book (or just chill, like our girls did).

There were all these cool paths to put balls on and they made lots of different noises.

Reagan liked the ball tube that went all around the entire room.

In the art room, we got to make Olympic flags.

Then the girls got to free paint a little house.

This could of had major potential for disaster.
She did great and only got one little drop on her hands.

Reagan rode on this cool scooter. You have to step on the wheels and turn them backwards to go forward. She did really well.

Riley was hot, so Daddy held her up to the air vent.

At dinner, Reagan was entertaining herself by making a music station.

Riley tried to play with some pizza dough to help keep her entertained, but mostly, she wanted to eat it.

Reagan was invited to her friends house for a viewing of the new Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Live Concert that was released on DVD this past week. She was so excited to go and watch one of her favorite singers. She wanted her hair all done up ... and she wore her Hannah Montana socks to complete her outfit. She looked so cute, and had such a good time.

For those who were wondering just how curly her hair was the other morning after the sponge rollers ... here is attempt number 2. She slept in the rollers again on Saturday night, and here she is, Sunday morning ... all curly again.
WHOA!

Final attempt for now ...

We have tried and tried again to get this curly hair thing right. We finally went out and bought sponge rollers to try. Reagan is obsessed with having her hair curly, and this is my last resort.

If this doesn't work well, we are done with curly hair!

She was so excited after her bath last night to put her hair in her rollers. She even had a cool bandanna to wear. Sleeping was no problem at all ... she slept all night and woke up excited that her head did not hurt and that the rollers were still there. She was anxious to get them out to see the results. So, 6:30am, I was woken up to take her hair out. After getting out all the curlers, her hair was stuck to her head, in tight curls (tight, like Annie!). She looked in the mirror and I thought she was going to cry. She DID NOT like her hair that curly. So, after some fixing with water and a curling iron ... we got beautiful results. She would not let me take pictures of her hair VERY curly, but she was willing to take pictures when it was all over and done with. She looked so pretty this morning ... and so grown up!

Needless to say, the end result was worth it and so far, it has lasted all day. We may try it again, and hopefully it will get easier the more we try it. We shall see!

Of course, Riley felt left out of the fun last night, so we attempted to put her hair in rollers. We got six rollers in her hair and she left them there for a total of five minutes. Her pictures were not great, as she was a wild woman and would not stay still long enough to take a good picture. This is the best I could do.

What cute girls we have today!

This morning before school ... the girls looked so cute in their matching clothes. Reagan wanted to have beautiful hair to go with her beautiful dress, so Mom spent about a half hour curling and spraying her hair. I must say, she looked so darn cute. Of course, after I picked her up from school, her hair was straight again. What a shame! I would love to do her hair like this for school pictures, but it would never stay.

Another try at the hair thing ...

OK, so curly hair must be the new fashion for four year olds. She HAS TO have her hair curly now. Aunt Kimmie told us to tie her hair into knots and it would work better than braids.
So, after a few attempts ... here is what we got.

Reagan was very excited about this ... a cool way to have curly hair!

The next morning ... a little bit too frizzy for mom's liking.
She was very happy with the outcome though!
