Scott and I were lucky to have a date night and we wanted to do something that is not your same old date night. So we went to a yummy dinner and then took a Sunset Sailing cruise. It was a lot of fun and the sunset was beautiful. We even saw dolphins jumping around our boat. We had a great night out and can't wait to have another date night soon.

Today was the Talent Show at Reagan's school. She tried out for the talent show, wanting to play the piano. She got an acceptance letter and she was so excited to be apart of the show. She practiced for this day and was pumped for the day to begin.
During the dress rehearsal, she got nervous. She had her hands in the wrong position and started playing her song. Then she realized it did not sound right, she stopped and looked around. Everyone was looking at her and I thought she was going to not continue. She repositioned herself and started playing and did great!
Then it was time for the show. She walked right up to the piano, sat down and began.
To my surprise, not only did she play the piano, she also sang.
She did a great job, did not seem nervous, and was so happy with herself.
We are so proud of her and all her courage ... way to go Reagan!
Sorry that the video is sideways ... I held the camera upright and I don't know how to flip the video on the new computer ... at least you can see her though!
Enjoy!

Another great day at Disney World, this time spent with some friends who were in town from Texas. The Williams Family lives in our old neighborhood in Dickinson, and they have two daughters who are also 6 and 3. The girls all had a great time together, riding rides, and running around. Reagan said it was her best day "ever" at Disney since she had a friend there.
We convinced Reagan to ride Splash Mountain for the first time. She was very nervous about it, but we told her she only had to do it once to see if she liked it. She insisted that we hold on to her the whole way, so we did! This picture was the picture taken by the ride ... our faces are PRICELESS!
After the 50 story drop, we did get wet! Reagan started smiling and screaming that this is now her favorite ride. She enjoyed it so much, she went to her friend and told her she missed out on the best ride ever!
Riley had the most fun playing with the fan squirter, which she used to cool off everyone in Disney, except herself!
As we were leaving, we saw Pluto and then the Celebration Parade started. We sat right on the street where the floats came out of the gates, and got so see some great characters.
So, another great day at Disney World to add to the books!

Good Bye "V" Tree
We have been blessed with an abundant amount of trees at our new house. We have nine, very large, full grown oak trees that have proven to us that we bought a house that requires a lot of yard work. Between the leaves in the winter and the pollen in the spring, we have our hands full with these nine trees. But, unfortunately for us, our favorite of the nine has to be removed. Our "V" tree, that is in the middle of our backyard is the only tree that is accessible for the girls to climb and it is just such a beautiful tree. We discovered that the back of the tree has been eaten out by bugs and is posing danger to our house, since it leans right over the bedrooms. So, before hurricane season arrives, we are getting the tree professionally removed.
Now we have a stump ...
Now we have a more spacious play area for the kids ...
I actually think I like the yard better now, even though it was a beautiful tree. Now all we have to do is get the grass to cover the big dirt spot!

We had a special visitor for five days. Aunt Kimmie and our cousins, Aodhan and Sullivan came from Dallas to enjoy some Florida weather, the beach, and us! Enjoy looking through our days spent together.
We spent everyday just playing and having fun. All the kids enjoyed playing around the house, yard, and on the swing set.
After the beach, we went to the park to search for Alligators. We did not see any, but had a fun time walking around searching for different animals.
One afternoon, we went to the Aquarium and had a great time. We saw lots of cool fish and animals, and then got to spend some time at the Splash Park that the Aquarium has.
We had one day of rain, which made us sad. We had planned on going back to the beach that day, but had to improvise instead. So, we got our swim suits on and played outside in the rain!
We did end up going to the beach that afternoon, still in the rain, to look for shells. We did not take the camera due to the rain, which was sad because we ended up seeing a huge pod of dolphins right off the shore. It was beautiful.
We had such a great time visiting with our cousins. We miss them already and can't wait for them to come back to see us.
