A couple weekends ago, down at Treasure Island (a beach about 3 miles from our house), there was a Sand Sculpting contest going on. We decided to let loose and go to the beach for a night of fun. It was crazy down there. They had bands, vendors, pirates, people, food, drinks, bounce houses, and the best part … awesome sand sculptures.
Riley was not overly impressed with this pirate, who had a fake hole in his head, with blood running down. He kept making growling noises at her, and she was not liking it. Notice Reagan has her eyes shut. She was a little nervous about the “blood” on his head.
As the night grew darker, the girls had so much fun building sand castles with all the other kids.
These are some of the sculptures at the beach. Our favorite was the last one, which was strategically places where the sun was going to set. Unfortunately, it was a very cloudy evening, and there wasn’t a beautiful sunset to go along with this creation. The details in all of these was incredible. They were hard to take pictures of though.
